Things you should know about buying or adopting a pet

While pet sellers can be reputable individuals or breeders who treat their animals well, the ease of selling pets over the Internet also makes it attractive to careless, irresponsible breeders and scammers. To protect yourself, you must be careful and believe only what you see and not what you are told. It is highly recommended to arrange for an inspection of the home where the pets are bred. This allows you to check that the mother and other animals are living in suitable conditions, being well cared for, and are in good health.

Remember that the Kijiji Pets section is NOT intended to facilitate uncontrolled breeding, irresponsible commercial pet trading, trade of dogs or any other animal for the purpose of fighting or stud services. Any ads that are suspected of promoting this kind of activity or reported to us will be removed. Users are responsible for adhering to the applicable conditions in relation to adopting, buying, selling or listing of an ad on Kijiji.

Kijiji encourages, where possible, the adoption of pets and encourages all pet owners to have their animals spayed or neutered as well as microchipped.

When looking for a pet, it is important to meet the breeder or seller and examine the pet before agreeing to anything. Since Kijiji is local to your community, this should be easy to arrange. Never adopt/buy a pet from someone who is unwilling to let you see how and where the animal is living!

    Description

It is with the heaviest heart that we are posting our beloved long haired scottish fold cat, named Einstein, for rehoming as we have a growing toddler at home and our other senior pets require more of our attention and focus.

Einstein is a UNSPAYED litter trained 2 year old female cat with the most gentle temperament and almost *ditzy* like personality. She is very much kitten like. Upon meeting new people, she is timid at first, but opens up after a while to ask for scritches under her chin. If you offer scritches, she will absolutely melt in your palm. She has been raised in a household comprised of dogs and other cats so she will work well in multi-cat households or with other dogs. She comes from a litter of 5 kittens and her parents are our own furry family members. Father is a scottish fold short hair and mother is our long haired ragdoll.

After careful thought, we believe rehoming Einstein (who is the youngest and healthiest of our bunch) is the best bet so we can recenter our focus on taking care of our senior dog who broke her leg and is recovering, and our other cat who was diagnosed with diabetes recently.

Her shots will be up to date and will come with a welcome package.

We are looking for her new owner that will take care of her and love on her like us, if not even more. She is a long haired cat so she does need help with combing and cutting off knots.

First photo will be her currently, and I also included some photos of her as a kitten and a photo of her parents.

We truly care about the home our cat will go to. If you would like to be contacted, please answer the following: - Tell us about yourself: - Do you have any existing pets? - Would you want your kitten to be indoor/outdoor/mix? - Do you plan to feed kibble/raw/canned? - Do you plan to breed or spay Einstein?

Thank you for your interest, Cammy
