My phone does not turn on, will a new battery fix my problem?

Not always! If your phone is not turning on, a battery replacement will rarely fix your problem. You might have a problem with your charging port? Perhaps, your phone is not changing the existing battery. You could also have a problem with the integrated circuit on the motherboard that controls the battery. This is common in iPhones, it is called the Tristar IC. If you have a Tristar problem replacing the battery on your phone will get your phone to turn on, but it wont last. Once the battery dies it will no longer charge the battery.

How often should I change my battery?

You can ask this question a hundred times, to a hundred different people, and each time you will always get a different answer. I have been in the industry for over 11 years and our team has repaired over 200,000 devices. My personal opinion is that you should change a battery when you feel your device is not lasting as long as it should. If youre reading this, then chances are you arent happy with your battery, so it is most likely a good idea to change it.

Will a new battery improve my phone's performance?

Yes! Many manufacturers now slow the operating system of the phone when a battery has been cycled many times. This can cause your device to be sluggish. A new battery usually fixes this problem.


My phone randomly turns off? Will this fix the problem?

Yes! Usually when a phone randomly turns off even though a battery shows that it has a charge on it is a sure sign you need a new battery. With that said, we still run all the diagnostics to make sure that is your problem.

What causes a battery to swell?

Although they are not common, they can be a significant risk. This occurs when the battery is getting too much current which causes it to overcharge. This can be due to a manufacturer's defect, a problem with the phone or by using aftermarket charging cables.

How can I take care of the battery in the phone?

Always use original charging blocks and charging cords. Stay far away from cheap cables. They will cost you much more in the end.
