At Bos Kennel we have an available position in our Guardian Program for a female FOX RED labrador puppy.
The Guardian dog/puppy would be under the care of the guardian family at no cost. The guardian family must live within 1.5 hours of Springford ON
In the guardianship program, the breeder retains ownership of the dog during the guardian period (for a female up to 5 years) (for a male up to 7 years). The dog lives with the guardian parent but will return to the breeder for breeding purposes. Upon completion of the guardian period, ownership will transfer to the guardian parent.

The goal of our guardian program is to provide families or individuals with a loving, and healthy puppy at a reduced price, while also continuing our breeding process.

What is all included in the Contract ?
Ownership remains with the breeder throughout the guardian period, transferring to the guardian parent once the period ends.
Breeding Restrictions: The guardian parent cannot breed the dog, and the dog cannot live with un-fixed male or female dogs.
Care & Training:
Diet: The dog must be fed a RAW diet or a high-quality kibble, as recommended by the breeder, at the expense of the guardian parent.
Exercise & Mental Stimulation: Daily exercise (walks, runs, fetch) and mental enrichment (training, toys, tricks) are required.
Training: The guardian parent must provide basic obedience training, including commands like sit, stay, down, fetch, and leash walking.
Living Conditions: The dog must have a comfortable, clean, and secure living environment with adequate shelter and bedding.
Veterinary Care:
All general vet bills will be the responsibility of the guardian parent.
All breeding related veterinary bills will be covered by the breeder.
All vet appointments must be approved by the breeder in advance, who may also request additional procedures.
Transportation:
All breeding related transportation will be done by the breeder (e.g., progesterone testing, breeding, and the whelping period).
