Job Title: Home Child Care Provider Location: Brampton, Ontario Type: Full-time, Permanent Start Date: As soon as possible Number of Positions: 1 Job Description: We are seeking a compassionate and experienced Home Child Care Provider to care for a young child in our private household. The ideal candidate will be a dedicated, trustworthy, and nurturing individual with strong experience in child supervision, emotional support, and developmental engagement. This is a live-out position, but live-in accommodations can be arranged if required. Key Responsibilities: Supervise and care for a child in our home Prepare and serve nutritious meals; assist with feeding as needed Maintain a safe and healthy environment in the home Organize age-appropriate educational and recreational activities Support child's emotional, social, and spiritual development Perform light housekeeping and cleaning duties related to the child Provide occasional evening or weekend care with advance notice Terms of Employment: Wage: $20.50 per hour Hours: 30–40 hours per week Work Schedule: Monday to Friday, occasional weekends Work Setting: Employer’s private residence (non-smoking, pet-free) Skills & Qualifications: Minimum 1 year of full-time experience in child care or related field Completion of a minimum post-secondary or equivalent Valid CPR, Vulnerable Sector Check and First Aid certification (or willing to obtain) Strong verbal communication in English Cultural awareness and ability to support child’s emotional and social development A calm, compassionate personality with a focus on safety and values-based care Experience in faith-based environments or community leadership an asset Caribbean cultural background or understanding of Caribbean household norms Note: These qualities are valued in the household environment but are not mandatory or used as criteria for exclusion in the selection process.
