Have you been looking for a way to become a wedding officiant? We can help! Become a Pastoral Chaplain with our inclusive progressive church.
Join us online on Zoom June 27 from 10 am until 3 pm. This is just the beginning of the process as you will have opportunities for further training and ongoing support through a vibrant facebook group dedicated to chaplains. Registration is now open.
We meet on a user-friendly platform you can use on any device. In the session, you'll learn about the role of the Pastoral Chaplain and especially, the elements involved with working with couples and offering meaningful, personalized weddings in accordance with the Province of Ontario. While we do have onsite training, at this time of the Covid pandemic we find online works just as well. The very same information is shared from the comfort of your computer chair.
To register: Candidates must be baptized, obtain a police clearance report and complete a Chaplain application form.
Pastoral chaplains become affiliate members of our inclusive and progressive church, which upholds the rights of all people. They must agree to officiate at all weddings, including same-gender.
