1. The 2-day in-class Standard First Aid/ Level C CPR (Adult/Child/Infant) /AED (SFA) course-Intermediate- cost is $138.00 (including tax), which includes the in-class portion and certification card. (DATES LISTED BELOW) - I do require preregistration and prepayment. Please make sure to register before you make payment. The online will not be sent until payment is made. - There is NO online for this course!! - The course runs 9:15AM-4:15PM (time ending can vary depending on class participants, discussions, need for further explanation, practice, etc.). - Please note there is no refund policy. Refunds are NOT available. No exceptions. If KCM postpones or you have to postpone, your fee will be transferred to another course date. We will try to accommodate for another class as quickly as possible. We will make sure that participants will always get the course they have paid for. Fees can also be transferred to someone else if needed. You have one year from the date of the course to use the fee. - Administration Fees: If you cancel between the date of the course and up to 7 business days (Monday to Friday) before, you will be required to pay a $31 administration fee. Once the course is full, I close registration and thus clients are lost if you cancel within the time mentioned above. - Meets OHS regulations for Standard First Aid. (Level C) Certificate and expires three (3) years from the date of issue. The dates available for 2025 are: - June 4 & 5 (Wednesday & Thursday) - July 12 & 13 (Saturday & Sunday) - August 13 & 14 (Wednesday & Thursday) - September 27 & 28 (Saturday & Sunday) - October 15 & 16 (Wednesday & Thursday) - November 8 & 9 (Saturday & Sunday) - December 9 & 10 (Tuesday & Wednesday) Course Content for Standard First Aid/ Level C CPR (Adult/Child/Infant) /AED • The Red Cross- History, Fundamental Principles, Symbols, etc. • Responding to Emergencies- Preparing to Respond, Legal Issues Around First Aid, The EMS System, After an Emergency, Lowering Risk of Infection • Check, Call, Care, Secondary Assessment, Shock • Choking- Patrial Choking, Complete Choking, Unresponsive Choking (Adult, Child & Infant) • Circulation Emergencies- Cardiovascular Disease, Heart attack, Angina, Stroke, TIAs, Life-Threatening Bleeding • CPR & AED- Cardiac Arrest, CPR, AED’s (Adult, Child & Infant) • Breathing Emergencies- Respiratory Distress, Hyperventilation, Asthma, Allergic Reaction, Anaphylaxis • Wound Care- Bandaging Guidelines, Triangular Bandages, Cuts & Scrapes, Puncture Wounds, Scalp Injuries, Infection, Burns, Bruises, Splinters, Nosebleeds, Foreign Objects in the Nose, Knocked-out Teeth, Eye Injuries, Ear Injuries, Impaled Objects, Amputations, Crush Injuries, Chest Injuries, Abdominal Wounds, Blast Injuries • Head, Neck, And Spinal Injuries- Concussion, Shaken Baby Syndrome, Splinting Guidelines, Osteoporosis • Sudden Medical Emergencies- Fainting, Diabetic Emergencies, Seizures, Mental Health Crisis, Childbirth, Miscarriage • Environmental Illnesses- Heat-Related Illnesses, Cold-Related Illnesses, Drowning, Seasickness • Poisons- Identifying Hazardous Materials, Swallowed Poisons, Inhaled Poisons, Absorbed Poisons, Injected Poisons, Poisoning caused by Alcohol or Drugs (such as Opioid Overdose), Bites and Stings
