Up for sale is a 1980 camaro. It's been through a series of upgrades over the years as fads came and went. Not really a show car, but does shine up pretty good. Built to be driven and have fun with, not sit in a garage, which unfortunately is what it's doing now.
Car runs and drives, inspected and used last summer before storage. Can be viewed and started, just not test driven this time of year (for obvious reasons). Car is stored in the Perth Andover Region.
List of things that come to mind of things done to the car. The list is not exact, as I'm certain I've missed some.
-Body stripped to bare metal, primed and urethane painted. No rust issues save for one section of lower quarter on pax side. No bondo in this car. -Urethane replacement body mount bushings all around -Subframe connectors (welded) -New rear leaf springs with urethane bushings -Rear and larger front sway bar from z28 package added -Subframe trued to car and new body bolts -79 z28 hood added, and airscoop made functional, sealed to aircleaner -Rebuilt 305 with mild cam (specs on card in the car). Deep sump baffled oil pan, hi volume oil pump, headers, fancy edelbrock valve covers (the good cast ones), edelbrock torquer II intake, edelbrock carb. Sniper Nitrous installed with low fuel pressure and window switches, Believe there are 75 hp jets in there now, bottle still certified for another few years, trunk mounted. Dyno sheet in the car, can't recall the #'s off my head. Not a 500hp machine, but fun one, with room to grow -an actual super T10 transmission, completely rebuilt, with Hurst shifter and linkage. Super fun to bang through the gears. New superforce clutch that has no problem holding the car even on the giggle gas. -GM 10 bolt rear completely rebuilt with functioning posi-traction. 2.73 geared so it can be highway driven. -New fuel tank and lines, front to back -braided stainless brake lines -smoked tail lenses and custom front grill.
I'm sure there is more I'm missing. Interior is not great, was the next project to finish but never got to it. Seats, etc are all in good shape, just needs headliner, door panels, carpet, and the dash could be painted. Oh, aftermarket gauge cluster stuff into a 79 dash cluster.
Good project car for someone, or drive the snot out of it as it. Doesn't leak anything anywhere, doesn't burn any oil, and will start even in this cold weather. Does need a little tlc, small rust patch in passenger quarter, easily repaired.
Finally, I don't want to sell this car that bad, so if you come at me with low ball offers you can pound sand. Serious inquiries only, not wasting my time. I've got a lot of sweat equity into it, and know it's not worth a fortune, but feel my asking is fair.
NO TRADES - that includes your rusty problematic halfton.
