Often called a “Baby Cadillac,” the 1932 Chevrolet Confederate BA Series is widely recognized today as one of the most stylish cars of the 1930s. A wide array of 14 Fisher-built body styles was available. In comparison to Ford’s new V-8 models, Chevrolet offered a proven and smooth inline six-cylinder engine with overhead valves and a counter-balanced crankshaft, paired with a full-synchromesh three-speed manual transmission with a standard “Wizard Control” freewheeling mode. Offering comparable performance to their Ford archrivals, the 1932 Chevrolets delivered strong value with low pricing and maintained Chevrolet’s first-place sales ranking for 1932.

Handsomely finished in Cream with Dark Brown upper body surfaces and Black fenders, this Canadian-built 1932 Chevrolet Series BA Confederate Sport Coupe continues to benefit very nicely from an older, well-preserved restoration. Accessories include dual chrome horns, Chevrolet’s striking Art Deco-inspired Eagle radiator mascot, twin side mounted spare wheels/tires, twin cowl lamps, a jaunty rumble seat with step plates, a single Chevrolet-scripted taillamp, and a folding rear luggage rack. Pin stripes, Red painted wire wheels, “Bowtie” hub caps, and period style Whitewall ties finish off the exterior. The bench seat is upholstered in Dark Brown mohair and remains quite attractive and comfortable. The instrument panel features a painted wood grain motif that is in good condition with some wear. Capable of accommodating up to two additional passengers, the rumble seat is trimmed in Dark Brown Naugahyde. Interior floors are covered by a correct and easy-clean rubber floor mat with Chevrolet’s “Bowtie” emblems.

Factory-rated at 60 brake horsepower, the Chevrolet’s venerable 194 cubic-inch “Stovebolt” OHV inline 6-cylinder engine is paired with a 3-speed, full-synchromesh manual transmission including standard freewheeling. Brakes are mechanical-type drums at all four corners and suspension is via leaf springs front and rear. The engine and surrounding engine compartment are in nicely finished condition and the frame and suspension components are in restored OEM order.
