Description
Debuted for 1963, the futuristic new second-generation Corvette Sting Ray was now offered along two body styles – a new “Split window” Coupe and racy Convertible. A revised front suspension and new independent rear setup delivered excellent handling. The long-awaited new Sting Ray created a sensation upon release for sale, with Corvette production reaching a new record of 21,513 in all for 1963 – including 10,594 Coupes and 10,919 Convertibles. Finished in a newer and very attractive Silver Metallic paint finish, this 1963 Chevrolet Corvette Sting Ray Convertible is an original Sebring Silver example, complemented by a correct-appearing Black cockpit and gleaming chrome bumpers. Power is delivered by a small-block Chevrolet V-8 engine equipped with a 4-barrel carburetor, factory chrome air cleaner, Corvette-scripted rocker covers, and headers feeding the full-length dual exhaust system. A 4-Hurst-shifted speed manual transmission delivers the power to the Corvette IRS rear axle. Features and options include a center console, clock and Delco AM/FM radio. Braking is upgraded with a later-model dual circuit master cylinder. The Corvette’s frame and suspension are in nicely maintained condition and retain factory-correct components. Wheels are attractive later-model Corvette Rally items mounting P235/60 R15 BF Goodrich Radial T/A tires all around. If you’re looking for an attractive and enjoyable Corvette from the historic 1963 model year, look no further! This vehicle shows approximately 55,705 miles. Appraised value of $105,000. Plus HST & registration fees. WE WILL TAKE ANYTHING IN ON TRADE! jason@groganclassics.com
