Description
Oldsmobile’s intermediate Cutlass line is a collector and enthusiast favorite since inception, particularly the 1968-72 models. The 1971 model year marks the final run for a Cutlass-based convertible from Oldsmobile, offered exclusively on the Cutlass Supreme trim level. This handsomely restored 1971 Oldsmobile Cutlass Supreme Convertible maintains its original looks with an unmodified and refinished body and very attractive and inviting factory-correct interior. The already powerful Oldsmobile 350 cubic inch V-8 engine is equipped with upgraded aluminum cylinder heads, an aluminum high-rise intake manifold, Edelbrock 4-barrel carburetor, and an Edelbrock chrome air cleaner and rocker covers. Tubular headers feed a great-sounding, full-length dual exhaust system. Power is delivered to the road via a column-shifted automatic transmission.
In addition to power front disc/rear drum brakes with Wilwood calipers up front, the Cutlass is also equipped with power steering and an upgraded aluminum radiator. Vital functions are monitored by a 3-gauge accessory cluster mounted beneath the dash. In addition to an OEM AM/FM radio, the Cutlass is also equipped with a hidden AM/FM CD head unit inside the glove box, with updated loudspeakers to the rear passenger compartment. A power-operated convertible top resides underneath the removable top-boot cover. The full frame and suspension are presented in very attractively maintained, factory-type condition. Oldsmobile Super Stock wheels mounting BF Goodrich Radial T/A tires provide road contact. Accompanying items include a covered spare, roadside jack and lug wrench, plus an indoor car cover. Documents include a 1971 Oldsmobile dealer brochure, Oldsmobile Club show judging sheet, PPG paint color chart, and a copy of a 1971 Oldsmobile Cutlass/442 assembly manual inside a 3-ring binder. Appraised value of $70,000. Plus HST & registration fees. WE WILL TAKE ANYTHING IN ON TRADE! jason@groganclassics.com
