Description

This Caterham Super 7 is a left-hand drive example that was built by James Whiting and Exclusively Seven using a Caterham kit reportedly manufactured in 1992. The build was completed in 1994, and the car spent time in the Netherlands prior to being imported to Canada and acquired by the current owner in 2022. Power comes from a 1.6-liter Ford Zetec inline-four that was built by Dunnell Engines and is linked to a five-speed manual transmission and a limited-slip differential. Finished in red over black leather upholstery, the car is equipped with 16″ alloy wheels, four-wheel disc brakes, Bilstein front coilovers, polished front A-arms, and a side-exit exhaust system as well as a black folding soft top, an Exclusively Seven fuel-filler lid, red Willans four-point harnesses, a quick-release MOMO steering wheel, and an intercom system with two headsets. Now showing 35k kilometers (~22k miles), this Super 7 is offered in Ontario, Canada, with removable side curtains, a black top boot, a roof bag, service records, an owner’s manual, brochures, articles, and an Ontario registration document in the seller’s name.

The body is finished in red, and details include a “7” grille, a side-exit exhaust system, an Exclusively Seven lockable fuel-filler lid, exposed polished K&N air cleaner covers, rear-fender stone guards, and a black folding soft top with removable side curtains and a black top boot. Scuffs on the windshield are shown in the photo gallery below.

Five-spoke 16″ alloy wheels wear Super 7 center caps and are wrapped in 205/45 Hankook Ventus Prime 3 tires that were mounted in 2018. A matching spare wheel is stowed at the rear, and braking is handled by discs at all four corners. The car’s suspension employs polished control arms and Bilstein front coilovers as well as a “de Dion tube” system in back.

The high-back bucket seats are upholstered in black leather that extends to the center tunnel. Willans four-point harnesses are accompanied by Caterham-branded floor mats, a passenger-side map pocket, and an intercom system with dual headsets The quick-release MOMO steering wheel is wrapped in suede and frames VDO instrumentation including a 260-km/h speedometer and a Dunnell-branded tachometer, while centrally-mounted gauges monitor oil pressure, coolant temperature, and fuel level. The five-digit mechanical odometer shows 35k kilometers (~22k miles.

The 1.6-liter Ford Zetec inline-four was built by Dunnell Engines and is fed by dual Weber carburetors.

Power is sent to the rear wheels through a five-speed manual transmission and a Quaife limited-slip differential.

An owner’s manual, service records, brochures, and articles are included in the sale.

Please note. I have 4 more excellent videos showing every aspect of the car, plus over 60 photos, Car Fax report etc.. Just message me to request. canwh@outlook.com
