We have spaces available in Hideaway Studios, our studio & co-working space in the Junction Triangle. We're looking for the right people to join our eclectic group: artists/crafters/makers/designers/freelancers and all sorts of creative types, from all walks of life and a broad range of talents! Located in a great neighbourhood, steps away from parks, cool cafes and places to eat. It enjoys great natural light through the large storefront windows, and has 10ft high tin ceilings. The studio is airy and open concept, and each member’s area is separated by 4-ft high walls. There’s a shared kitchenette, washroom, and we have a large sink for cleaning out brushes and paint. Internet is included. Some of our past and current members include: a graphic designer/visual artist/photographer; a jeweler; a stationery/greeting card designer; a sculptor, painters & visual artists, a leatherworker; a FX makeup artist; a videogame background painter; a glass artist; and other wonderfully talented people. We usually host a winter market and 1-2 other member-organized sales and shows throughout the year, and encourage members to put forward ideas for other events. Access is 24/7 but we have a noise curfew from 11pm-8am to respect the apartments upstairs. Providing a safe work environment is a priority for us, and we want members who feel the same way. We believe COVID is real, support vaccines, and enourage wearing masks when needed/appropriate/courteous. Thankfully none of that is relevant currently, but if the situation were to get dire again we would re-evaluate as needed. Looking forward to hearing from you!
