Looking for painters and sandblasters willing to do seasonal work in northern Canada from April until late-October/November. Painters are expected to have experience with pressure pot paint sprayers or airless sprayers, preference given to those with experience with both. Painting will be primarily equipment and some buildings. Sandblasters are expected to be able to prep equipment as well as sandblast.
Must be willing to perform other tasks when painting/sandblasting is not possible or finished. Additional skills a plus. Pay will be based on experience.
Work site will be one of two mining camps located outside of Dawson City, Yukon. Housing and food provided on site (no additional charge). Work schedule will be 12 days on 2 days off, 8 a.m. to 8 p.m. shifts.
Initial travel out to the camp will be paid for by the company as well as arranging quarantine upon arrival. Employees who do not stay for the full season will be required to reimburse this amount upon leaving. Employees who stay will not be required to reimburse this amount. Additional travel back and forth between the Yukon and the east coast will be at employee's expense. Couples are encouraged to apply to the company together. See our other job postings for options.
