Job Summary:
We are seeking a Health and Safety Consultant to join our team for GTA. Reporting to the Field Manager, the Health and Safety Consultant will be responsible for providing expert advice and guidance on health and safety-related matters to our clients. This role requires a detail-oriented individual who can work independently to provide clients with comprehensive and effective health and safety solutions.

We are seeking a Health and Safety Consultant to join our team for GTA. Reporting to the Field Manager, the Health and Safety Consultant will be responsible for providing expert advice and guidance on health and safety-related matters to our clients. This role requires a detail-oriented individual who can work independently to provide clients with comprehensive and effective health and safety solutions.
Key Responsibilities:
Consulting and Development
- Assist clients on site with all aspects of Health and Safety services
- Perform regular observations of all work areas on site to ensure physical conditions and behavioral conformance, provide observation reports to the appropriate personnel
- Assist clients by attending on site safety meetings and providing professional guidance on OHSA and construction regulation requirements
- Conduct incident/accident investigations, determine the causes, and develop recommendations to prevent future occurrences
- Follow-up on implemented preventative and corrective measures to ensure accuracy and effectiveness
- Review corrective actions for non-conformance with site management in accordance with company policies, applicable regulations, and best practices
- Conduct on-site worker orientation with clients and relevant persons involved to review safety programs and procedures
- Conduct toolbox talks, and safety meetings as requested by the client
- Provide Health and Safety awareness training when necessary
- 1-3 years Health and Safety experience; (construction industry experience an asset)
- Occupational Health and Safety Degree, Diploma, or Certificate an asset
- NSCO Certification an asset
- Facilitated training classes (asset) or Train The Trainer Certificate
- Strong knowledge of the Occupational Health and Safety Act (Green Book) and relevant regulations e.g., Construction Projects
- Proficient in use of technology an asset
- Effective communication, interpersonal, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Valid driver's G license and access to a vehicle.
