We're seeking licensed HVAC subcontractors for furnace, air conditioner, ductwork, HRV, heat pump, and more installations. Primarily Commercial work with Residential.

The ideal candidate has at least 2-3 years of experience and takes pride in their work and delivery quality results with a customer centric approach.

We partner exclusively with the City of Toronto, serving customers in broader GTA, Brampton, Vaughan and Mississauga areas. We are expanding our Team of HVAC Service Technicians and Installers. Our business was founded in 1990 and we offer you long term, stable work in a supportive, happy environment.

Key Responsibilities:

- Anticipate the requirements of the day and prepare accordingly, including a professional clean presentation of yourself, your tools and your vehicle - Quality Assurance: Ensuring the quality and integrity of installations by adhering to best practices, following manufacturer guidelines, and performing thorough quality checks throughout the installation process. Other duties as may arise from time to time and as may be assigned to the employee. - Installation: The primary responsibility is to install heating systems in residential, commercial, or industrial buildings. This includes furnaces, boilers, heat pumps, radiators, ductwork, and other related equipment. - System Design: Assessing the heating needs of a building and designing an appropriate heating system to meet those requirements efficiently. This involves calculating heat load, sizing equipment, and selecting the right components for the system. - Technical Expertise: Having a strong understanding of heating system mechanics, electrical wiring, piping, and HVAC principles. This includes knowledge of different types of heating systems and their components. - Safety Compliance: Ensuring that all installations comply with relevant safety codes, regulations, and standards. This includes proper ventilation, combustion air supply, electrical wiring, and safe handling of fuel sources. - Testing and Inspection: Performing tests and inspections on installed heating systems to ensure they are functioning properly and efficiently. This may involve checking for leaks, adjusting controls, and verifying airflow. - Maintenance and Repair: Providing maintenance services to ensure the ongoing performance and longevity of heating systems. This includes cleaning components, replacing filters, lubricating moving parts, and making necessary repairs. - Troubleshooting: Diagnosing and troubleshooting problems with heating systems, such as malfunctions, inefficiencies, or inadequate heating performance. Identifying root causes and implementing appropriate solutions to resolve issues. - Adhere to procedures in the use of the work order.

Skills, Abilities and Experience:

- Reliable Response time to call/emergencies - Class G drivers license, with clean record - Minimum G2 Gas Technician license (We do offer Training for G3 Technicians) - Valid Ozone Depletion Prevention (ODP) card. - 313A or 313D an asset - Proof of insurability - WSIB clearance certificate - Comfortable working at heights, with qualification - Must have own truck and required tools - Commercial experience is a plus - Excellent mechanical ability - Must represent Sam's Heating and Cooling Solution in a professional manner - Strong interpersonal skills and effective communicator who works well with different customers and personalities - Must work well under pressure - Ability to work in a fast-past environment - Strong problem solving skills to resolve customer issues/concerns - Positive attitude and always acts in the well-being of the customer and UTG - Adapts well to change, manages competing demands, and can handle frequent changes, delays and unexpected events in your daily schedule - Ability to work independently or in a team (Optional)
