Plumber – Maintenance and Repair

Location: East York, ON, M4G 1Z3 Work location: On site (no remote work) Salary: $65,000–$85,000 annually (to be negotiated) | 40–44 hours per week Employment type: Permanent, Full-time Shifts: Early morning, day, evening, night, weekends, on-call, flexible hours, overtime available/required Vacancies: 4 Start date: As soon as possible Benefits: Health & financial benefits ________________________________________ Overview • Language required: English • Education: Trade certificate/diploma or equivalent experience • Experience: 3–5 years ________________________________________ Work Environment • Confined spaces • Wet/damp conditions • Excavation work • Projects in residential, commercial, industrial, and institutional settings • Relocation costs not covered by employer ________________________________________ Responsibilities • Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and specifications • Install, repair, and maintain water supply, waste, and drainage systems • Locate and mark pipe connections, cut openings, and join pipes using appropriate methods (clamps, couplings, soldering, welding, etc.) • Test pipes for leaks using pressure gauges • Determine piping requirements and sizing • Prepare tenders and quotations • Supervise and schedule personnel, tools, and equipment • Train and instruct apprentices • Estimate costs and materials Supervision: 5–10 workers ________________________________________ Credentials (any of the following): • Plumber Trade Certification (Red Seal preferred) • Backflow Prevention Certification • Working at Heights Training • WHMIS Certificate • Occupational Health & Safety Certificate • First Aid Certificate • Valid Class 3/D Driver’s Licence ________________________________________ Additional Requirements • Bondable (security clearance required) • Criminal record check and driver’s abstract required • Must provide own tools, safety gear, steel-toed boots, and hard hat • Physically demanding: bending, crouching, kneeling, lifting heavy loads, working under pressure ________________________________________ Personal Suitability • Strong communication (oral & written) • Client-focused and reliable • Team player with good judgment • Detail-oriented and accurate ________________________________________ Benefits • Health and dental plan • Disability benefits • Health care plan • Group insurance benefits • Bonus and commission opportunities • As per collective agreement ________________________________________ How to Apply By email: employment@everestplumbing.ca Screening questions (please answer when applying): • Are you available for shift or on-call work? • Are you willing to relocate for this position?
