Our facility seeking a self motivated, adaptable and reliable individual to join our estimating department. Estimators are responsible for providing customers with timely and friendly service, providing them with accurate estimates, guiding them through their repair decisions and providing them with updates as their repairs proceed. Estimators are in direct communication with insurance teams and are expected to represent the company in a professional manner. A background in sales or marketing is an asset in this position as well as thorough automotive knowledge. Estimators must be able to make common sense decisions, use excellent communication skills and possess a good work ethic. We foster a positive team atmosphere and are looking for someone that will fit with the company culture. We are willing to train the right applicant in estimating specific programs however this is not an entry level position and automotive industry experience is necessary.
- Inspection of vehicles and writing complete, accurate estimates of damage* - Handling authorizations, repair orders, supplements and warranties - Maintaining a high level of customer service - Follow up on customer estimates - Maintain ongoing communication with insurance appraisers, production staff and customers regarding repair status - Inspect repair and ensure customer expectations are met - Work to resolve any customer concerns - Maintain sales volume - Ensure all parts are ordered correctly and in a timely fashion - Participate in daily production meeting in order to provide key information to production staff - Be willing to attend/complete any required company training programs - Follow best practices when generating estimates to maintain 95% or higher accuracy - Follow standard operating procedures in all areas including documenting damage, communication with insurance companies and customers
Program Knowledge: * - Management Software (Synergy) - Estimating Software (Audatex and Mitchell) - General computer knowledge including familiarity with web browsers, installing and uninstalling programs, troubleshooting with telephone tech support, email programs, text messaging systems.*- I-car training a plus
Skills & Abilities - Strong attention to detail - Work independently - Flexible and adaptable to change - Diplomatic and able to interact with all levels of personnel - Highly organized, able to multitask and handle multiple concurrent assignments - Ability to prioritize, organize and plan under own initiative - Strong communication skills, both written and verbal - Automotive Industry knowledge - Must have a valid driver’s license
This position is full time Monday to Friday. Signal Collision offers competitive compensation and medical benefits to our employees. Compensation based on national average, experience will be considered.
