Service Coordinator - New Position Created!

We are a Material Handling Equipment Company looking for a Service Coordinator to work with technicians and customers regarding Material Handling Equipment to be serviced. This is a newly created position as we are getting busier and need help in the Service Office.
The successful candidate must have strong computer skills in order to successfully manage work orders and technicians time. Must have strong verbal and written communication skills; ensuring all customers are kept up to date on services being provided. You will also need to ensure that technicians are staying within quoted times, and if they cannot, getting approval from the customer to continue with the services.
Please note there is no bus service available in our industrial area.
Duties may include but are not limited to: - calling customers to set up PM services - dispatching technicians to customer sites - preparing quotes for customers and following up with the customer on the submissions. - Submitting warranty claims. - Relaying required parts & service information to and from the shop and to and from our customers.
You will also be expected to assist with time card entry, invoicing and other service duties as required.
In order to be considered for this position you must have a minimum 3 years of experience working in a Service department; some mechanical knowledge is helpful to be able to converse with customers and technicians clearly and concisely regarding services being provided. A strong Knowledge of Microsoft word, Excel and Outlook is necessary and you must be able to use these programs proficiently
