Job description
Blasters are responsible for the safe operation and maintenance of their equipment while adhering to Company Safe Work Practices.
Work in confined spaces and on scaffolding as required.
Blast a variety of surfaces including, but not limited to tanks, pressure vessels, pipe and Industrial equipment.
Be able to measure Surface profile and condition (salts, contamination), to ensure proper surface preparation for Coating and/or Painting treatment in accordance to the Ar-Tech Quality Manual and Customer specifications.
Work experience requirements
- Dependent on the grade of Blaster (junior, intermediate, senior) work experience will range from minimal to extensive.
- Willingness to learn and practice safe operations. Team player. Training can be provided.
- The successful candidate must be able to work any ay of the week, some out of town work required and some overtime required.
- Valid Class 5 Alberta Driver’s License. Class 1 License an asset.
- Able to meet the physical demands of the position including but not limited to heavy lifting, working in confined spaces and heights including scaffolding.
- Clearance on pre-employment drug and alcohol testing will be required.
- Safety courses are and asset.
- The successful candidate must be legally entitled to work in Canada.
