Position – Survey – Construction Surveyor Job type - Full-time (1 Position) Schedule – 5 days a week/10hour shift (Overtime after 8 Hours) Wage – Commensurate with experience Location – Must reside within 1 hour of Coaldale, Alberta (Note: Relocation expenses or accommodations are not provided) The Construction Surveyor position will require an individual looking to enter the workforce as a Construction Surveyor to join our team of dedicated professionals. As a Construction Surveyor at Dennis Dirtworx Ltd., you will play a crucial role in ensuring our projects are constructed accurately and efficiently, contributing to the success of our construction projects. This is an opportunity to work on diverse and challenging projects in a collaborative and innovative environment. The Work: - Conduct precise land surveys and measurements using Topcon GPS. - Verify existing land features, create accurate topographical maps, layout designed features - Collaborate with project owners, engineers, and contractors to integrate survey data into project planning and design. - Analyze survey data and prepare detailed reports, maps, and other documentation for project stakeholders. - Adapt surveying methods to address unexpected site conditions and challenges. - Ensure safety protocols are followed during fieldwork to protect both yourself and others on the construction site. - Maintain and calibrate our survey equipment to trusted results and improve equipment longevity - Maintain our fleet of over 25 pieces of GPS controlled heavy equipment - Continuously update and maintain knowledge of surveying techniques, technologies, and industry best practices. Qualifications - Completion of Highschool or G.E.D. - Background in construction - Background in construction surveying, or formal survey related education is considered an asset - Strong desire to learn - Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to adapt to changing project conditions. - Effective communication skills for collaboration with multidisciplinary teams. - Proficient with technology.
