Requirements:
- Post-secondary, or equivalent experience in Computer Assisted Drafting;
- Preferred experience in detailing structural steel and miscellaneous metals with Tekla
- Knowledgeable of blue print reading
- Create 3D models and Connection design for projects
- Coordinating shop drawing for production
- Understanding of the steel fabrication process, connections and erection plans
- Understanding of tolerances and the impacts of steel processing techniques
- High attention to detail
- Excellent problem-solving skills
- Experience with Pronest software is an asset
Duties/Responsibilities:
- Review engineered models and drawings;
- Prepare shop drawings and details for fabrication;
- Check approval drawings for accuracy and consistency
- Review, correct, and coordinate drawings from approval;
- Flag issues for RFI, and track resolution;
- Prepare estimates for tenders and bids
- Send CNC files to equipment for processing.
Candidates must be able to work independently in a fast paced, deadline oriented environment while taking direction and successfully interacting with other team members.
Wage commensurate with experience $25 - $35 per hour with Benefits
