QC Lab Technician

Job Description:Job Description We are looking for a new member to join our team in the Brampton area. You will need to be able to rotate on all three shifts. Responsibilities: Take samples provided from production and testing using analytical equipment to ensure the batches achieve quality specifications – Spectrophotometer readings, coefficient of friction, viscosity, opacity, gas chromatography etc.Data entry of batch results into the computer system for batch quality traceabilityCapacity to make recommendations on how to adjust the formulation to achieve specificationsAptitude for matching colourUse and set up of lab equipment to pull proofs for testing of product qualityCalibration of lab equipmentMaintains a high level of work accuracy to ensure the procedures are accurately followed and results properly recorded.Ensures that SOP’s (tests and specifications), information systems, calibration of equipment and programs, ISO requirements and company procedures are adequately implemented and maintained to ensure compliance with all company QMS requirements.Flexibility to work a three (3) shift rotation Monday – Friday. Qualifications include:Post-secondary education in chemistry or equivalent experience preferredPreferred minimum of 2 years of experience in ink or related industryProficient computer skills:Required: MS Outlook and MS ExcelDesirable: SAP and X-rite softwareColour vision proficiency
