Position: Safety Coordinator Location: Grenfell, Saskatchewan Term: Permanent & Full-time (30 – 40 hours per week)

About Deboys Equipment Deboys is owned by Darcy and Erin Lowenberg from Grenfell, Saskatchewan. Deboys Equipment has been in business since 2013 and have 12 full-time employees. During construction season in Saskatchewan, our team grows to include approximately 30 full-time and seasonal employees. Our construction focus is mainly road construction, and we are an aggregate producer and supplier. Our heavy equipment includes a fleet of 60 CAT construction equipment.

The Safety Coordinator Position Deboys Equipment believes that safe and efficient operations is critical to our success, and the Safety Coordinator will play a critical role in maintaining our safety-first culture. The position of Safety Coordinator will be responsible for working with our team to lead and oversee the implementation of our safety programs, procedures, and standards. Key roles and responsibilities will include: - Ensure compliance with our COR® safety standards program. - Ensure OH&S requirements for training and safe operations are compliant. - Managing site specific policies/procedures to ensure operations comply with site requirements. - Ability to visit site locations to ensure safety practices and procedures are compliant and the ability to be “hands-on” and assist with any updates or changes that are required. - Provide guidance during planning and operations meetings to ensure risks are adequately identified and risk mitigation plans are developed to meet our safe operation requirements. - Site safety supervision including regular inspections of worksites to ensure signs are properly put- up and maintained. - Lead daily Tool Box Talks. - Ensure employee safety training requirements are met and up to date. - Ensure proper permits are in place for operations. - Assist with incident reporting ensuring that corrective actions are implemented. - Ensure First-Aid training meets Deboys’ safety standards. - The ability to work collaboratively with a team to provide guidance and direction on safety policies and procedures in a positive and professional manner. Position Requirements The main requirements of the position are: - Computer experience, proficiency in MS Office applications. - Skilled at records management. - Willingness to learn. - A positive attitude. - Previous work experience in a construction / heavy equipment environment is preferred. - Previous experience in safety and compliance is preferred, however, we are willing to train the successful candidate. - Honesty and integrity are critical character requirements. - Physical ability to be at construction sites and to carry out some physical tasks such as putting up signs and hooking up a trailer. - Valid Class 5 driver’s license.

Compensation and Benefits Deboys Equipment provides a competitive hourly wage, and the equipment required to be successful in the role. The position will offer 30-40 hours per week, and the work environment will be a combination of in office and being present at construction site locations. While previous experience in safety and compliance is preferred, we are willing to provide training to the successful candidate. Access to on-going training and development is encouraged and supported at Deboys Equipment Ltd.
