Jump Recruitment Specialists have partnered with Rubber Duck Car Wash in their search for a full-time permanent District Manager - Nova Scotia to be based in Halifax, NS.

THE ROLE:

Reporting to the General Manager, the District Manager - Nova Scotia is responsible for the overall operations of the company's car wash locations in Nova Scotia (9 locations, all in Halifax Regional Municipality, as of January 2024). This includes managing operating efficiency, overseeing maintenance and repairs, building and leading the local team of car wash attendants, holding all team members accountable to processes and checklists, delivering an excellent customer experience, and delivering on strategic objectives relating to the Nova Scotia locations. To be successful in this role, the words "this isn't in my job description" can't be part of your vocabulary.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

The District Manager - Nova Scotia needs to be "Mr. or Mrs. Everything" relating to car wash operations in Nova Scotia. That said, these are the four main duties and responsibilities of the position:

  • Nova Scotia car wash operations & maintenance: You will be responsible for ensuring that all car wash locations and equipment in your district operate at maximum capacity and are maintained as efficiency as possible, minimizing downtime. This includes regular visits to all Nova Scotia car wash locations and ensuring all maintenance checklists and procedures are followed and team members are held accountable to them. You will oversee and track the progress of all repairs required at locations in Nova Scotia. You will ensure the overall appearance of locations in Nova Scotia are tidy and inviting to customers.
  • Customer Experience: You will ensure all processes, procedures, and team members are aligned to deliver excellent customer experience for all who use our car wash services. You will ensure that your team regularly engages with customers, proactively assists customers while on site, and solicit feedback from customers so that we can constantly be improving our overall customer experience. You will oversee the prompt response to all customers who contact us relating to locations in Nova Scotia, and ensure the team resolves customer complaints efficiently and with the goal of making all customers happier after engaging with us.
  • Leading your team: You will be responsible for creating a high functioning, happy, and engaged car wash operations team in Nova Scotia. You will lead, mentor, and hold accountable all team members. You will oversee all training required to help set your team up for success and you will regularly evaluate their performance and make any necessary changes to personnel as required. You will schedule staff in such a manner as to achieve optimum car wash operations in Nova Scotia, being mindful of labour costs during slower days or periods. You will ensure your team operates in a safe environment.
  • Deliver on District goals and objectives: You will be responsible for delivering on quarterly and annual goals and objectives relating to the Nova Scotia locations. As part of the company's planning process and cadence, you will suggest and implement initiatives in Nova Scotia that will improve operating efficiency, customer experience, and our overall car wash business.

  • Be able to travel periodically to all of the locations in HRM
  • Have a valid driver's license
