Pineland Co-op invites applications for the position of Food Division Manager based out of our Nipawin Food Store. The Food Division Manager will provide strategic direction, drive growth opportunities and provide leadership for the Grocery, Bakery, Deli, Meat, Produce and Choiceland Store food operations.

Our vision is to set the highest cooperative standard in service and product excellence. • Build and lead a high-performance team that delivers on budgeted targets by maximizing operational efficiency. • Participate in the development and implementation of business plans that include growth targets and profitability, as well as develop and implement merchandising and marketing initiatives. • Communicate and consult with the General Manager regarding daily operations, strategic plans and other tasks. • Lead the Food Store teams in providing quality and fresh goods. • Ensure inventories are managed and protected in compliance with management standards and practices to maintain high levels of accuracy and minimal loss. • Provide superior leadership to team members through coaching, mentoring, performance management, and feedback. • Ensure company policies, best practices, training courses and certifications are completed in a timely and efficient manner. • Lead a culture of safety through coaching, mentoring and continuous improvement.
As a member of our Division Leadership Team reporting to the General Manager, the successful candidate must be dedicated to delivering outstanding customer service, have a proven track record in sales and have the ability to work both independently and as part of a highly motivated team. Candidates must possess an extensive knowledge of leadership and the retail food industry, and have strong organizational, leadership, interpersonal and communication skills. Candidates must demonstrate a strategic mindset along with the ability to cultivate innovation, build networks and drive vision and purpose. The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 3 – 5 years of experience managing 5 or more team leaders and have a business degree, certificate, or CRS Food Managers / ADVANCE training. A combination of relevant education and work experience may be considered. The candidate must have a valid class 5 driver’s licence and be available for intermittent day travel in the Pineland Co-op trading area.
