General Manager – Resort, Catering & Canteen Operations
Location: Peterborough
Salary: $50,000 to $52,000 per year
Schedule: Wednesday to Sunday, 8-hour shifts
Employment Type: Full-Time
We are a small resort and catering company seeking an organized, creative, and hands-on General Manager to oversee daily operations and help grow our business. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys a mix of hospitality, leadership, administration, marketing, and occasional kitchen involvement in a collaborative and fast-paced environment.
What You’ll Do
• Manage day-to-day resort and catering operations
• Coordinate staff scheduling and support team leadership
• Assist with catering event planning and execution
• Help with light kitchen duties and food service when needed
• Handle administrative tasks including emails, invoicing, bookings, and vendor coordination
• Support marketing initiatives, social media content, promotions, and customer engagement
• Ensure excellent guest experiences and maintain high service standards
• Assist ownership with operational improvements and creative business ideas
What We’re Looking For
• Strong organizational and communication skills
• Ability to multitask and adapt in a dynamic environment
• Leadership experience in hospitality, catering, tourism, or customer service is an asset
• Comfortable helping in both operational and administrative areas
• Creative mindset with interest in marketing and guest experience
• Flexible and dependable with working hours when events or seasonal demands require adjustments
• Food handling or hospitality experience is considered an asset
