Raising calm, lovely, well behaved puppies, with an excellent temperament, and therapy dogs is our number one focus. The foundation a puppy is given in the first 8 weeks of their life, has the largest and most significant impact on the puppy for the rest of their life. We are a multi generational family, ethically breeding Golden Retrievers in a country setting. We are very different from most breeders, and proud to be. We are a combination of research based and holistic in our approaches. We are also small by choice so we can give our puppies care and attention the entire time they are with us. Our puppies are known for being very calm, and they are all tested for Therapy Dog and Service Dog potential. Several from each litter usually go on to be therapy dogs. Our families love how calm our puppies are. Care, nutrition, health and welfare are a daily focus. Love, nurturing and training are top priorities. We strongly believe the first 8 weeks are the foundation of the puppies life, and every aspect matters. We work with our puppies every day they are with us, including holidays and weekends. What we accomplish with each puppy matters to us. Our puppies are gently exposed to the hundreds of things that dogs react to, at a young age, in a safe supportive loving environment, so they easily accept these things, and new things later in their lives. Puppies need love, warmth, clean air, dry blankets, training and socialization. Puppies raised in barns (dusty and cold) or basements (damp and often moldy) lack warmth, socialization, and clean air; all of which are essential for health, growth and proper development. We pre-approve 8 families before the puppies are born, as we publish a weekly update or Birth Story with lots of pictures and videos, and talk about the puppies growth, development, milestones, and training. We currently are working on adoptions for our late spring/early summer litter. Our late spring/early summer litter is almost full, but there is still room. We are also pre-approving for our fall litter. If approved, you are not on a wait list, you will be receiving a puppy from the litter you choose.
