Hi, I'm Mia – Will You Be My Forever Family? ❤️
Please tell us about yourself and where you live.
Please don’t ask if she is available, as long as the ad is up she is available!
PREFERABLY SEEKING CANDIDATES WITHIN A 30 min drive.
Hi there! My name is Mia, and I’m a sweet little miniature poodle looking for a loving forever home. I’m 5½ years old, weigh about 11 lbs, and if you’re looking for a smart, cuddly, and playful companion… I might just be your perfect match!
A little about me:
I’m well trained – I know my manners!
I love going for walks and sniffing all the new smells
Running around and playing fetch is one of my absolute favourite things
I enjoy being close to my humans and will happily curl up for snuggles after a good play session
I'm looking for a family who will give me lots of love, attention, and care – and in return, I promise to give you my whole heart. I’ve got a lot of love to give and would thrive in a home where I can be part of the daily fun and routines.
I’m best suited for a home where I’ll get regular exercise, mental stimulation (I’m a poodle – we’re smart cookies!), and plenty of affection. Whether it’s a game of fetch, a walk around the neighbourhood, or just sitting with you on the couch – I’m happy just being with you. I’m a cautious girl with a strong sense of stranger danger — it takes me a little time to warm up, but once I do, I’m all yours. I can be timid around other animals, so I’d thrive in a calm home where I’m the only pet or with someone who respects my space.
I’m currently in Pickering area and am hoping to find my new family soon.
If you think we could be the perfect match, please send a message. I’d love to meet you!
Basic Questions for Potential Adopters:
Have you owned a dog before? If so, what kind?
Do you currently have any other pets? (Type, age, temperament)
Do you have any children in the home? (And if so, their ages)
What is your typical daily routine like? (Work hours, how long the dog would be alone)
Where will the dog stay when you’re not home?
What’s your living situation? (House/apartment? Fenced yard?)
Are you able and willing to care for a dog with a shy/timid personality around strangers and other animals?
Are you prepared for the costs of food, vet care, grooming, etc.?
What attracted you to Mia? Why do you think she’d be a good fit for your home?
Would you be open to a meet-and-greet and/or home check before finalizing the adoption?
You can also add:
“Do you plan to keep Mia indoors most of the time?”
“Are you comfortable continuing her routine, including walks and playtime?”
“If something happened and you could no longer care for her, what would you do?”
Why I’m Rehoming Mia
SHORT ANS:
It’s been a tough choice, but I’m rehoming Mia because my mom and brother have allergies, and it’s become hard to manage. On top of that, I’m not home enough anymore to give her the time and attention she needs. She deserves a home where she can get lots of love and care every day.
