Loving Home Needed for Handsome, Well-Behaved Dog

Bruno, our affectionate and personality-filled pup, is looking for a nurturing new home. He is shar-pei / american bulldog mix. He's incredibly well-behaved and social but has struggled with allergies throughout his life. Despite our efforts and consultations with our local vet, we believe he could thrive in a home that can provide more specialized care and manage the costs associated with his allergies.

His allergies primarily affect his skin, causing itchiness and redness on his stomach and legs. While he’s used to it, we believe they could be better managed with the right resources. Bruno needs a home where he will receive plenty of love, snuggles, and the necessary veterinary attention to improve his quality of life.

Bruno is an amazing dog who does well in an apartment but would also enjoy a yard. He loves his daily walks but, due to his breed, cannot handle long or intense exercise. We typically limit his walks to 30 minutes at a leisurely pace, and care must be taken in warm weather due to his susceptibility to overheating.

He gets along wonderfully with other dogs but has a high prey drive, so a home without cats would be best. Although he hasn't been around many children, he's gentle, doesn’t jump, and has done well with the kids he’s met. Bruno is very social, a bit goofy, and will make a great companion.

A small rehoming fee is required to ensure potential adopters are committed to meeting his needs. Bruno will turn 3 in October. He has had his initial puppy and yearly vaccinations, but additional shots are still needed.
