Things you should know about buying or adopting a pet

While pet sellers can be reputable individuals or breeders who treat their animals well, the ease of selling pets over the Internet also makes it attractive to careless, irresponsible breeders and scammers. To protect yourself, you must be careful and believe only what you see and not what you are told. It is highly recommended to arrange for an inspection of the home where the pets are bred. This allows you to check that the mother and other animals are living in suitable conditions, being well cared for, and are in good health.

Remember that the Kijiji Pets section is NOT intended to facilitate uncontrolled breeding, irresponsible commercial pet trading, trade of dogs or any other animal for the purpose of fighting or stud services. Any ads that are suspected of promoting this kind of activity or reported to us will be removed. Users are responsible for adhering to the applicable conditions in relation to adopting, buying, selling or listing of an ad on Kijiji.

Kijiji encourages, where possible, the adoption of pets and encourages all pet owners to have their animals spayed or neutered as well as microchipped.

When looking for a pet, it is important to meet the breeder or seller and examine the pet before agreeing to anything. Since Kijiji is local to your community, this should be easy to arrange. Never adopt/buy a pet from someone who is unwilling to let you see how and where the animal is living!

Kijiji Pet Welfare Partners:

Description

**update: the little red boy "Teddy" has a family! ***Little black "Jasmine" is still looking for her family. She has so much personality and BIG DOG attitude! Emmett and Oswynn are proud to present their two gorgeous puppies born December 28, 2024 for your consideration. The red puppy pictured is male, and the black one is female. We know how important our four-legged family members are to our well being, which is why we are passionate about providing mentally and physically sound canine companions with maximum longevity. The following are steps we have taken to ensure this:

-Our breeding dogs have been sourced from researched, successful, reputable breeders.

-Our breeding dogs have been examined by a vet and genetically screened for heritable disease.

-Puppies are socialized early to a wide variety of stimuli, including different people, animals, surfaces, noises, etc.

-Puppies are given their first puppy vaccine at a time when it provides the best protection. They are also dewormed.

-Feeding the best possible diet to our parent dogs and weaning puppies onto an equally nutritious diet.

Every Bright Heart Poodle Puppy comes with the following:

• First Vaccines and Deworming- given AFTER weaning so that maternal antibodies don’t interfere

• Microchip

• CKC Registration

• Extensive Socialization to a variety of stimuli

• a cuddly toy or blanket with mother’s scent

• A Health Guarantee (parents have been genetically screened)

• Food

• Lifetime Breeder Support

Our breeding dogs are also our treasured companions. They live in our home and their pups are lovingly raised in the house.

If you feel that a Bright Heart Poodle would be a good fit for your home, please contact Emily at 780-385-8875 (call or text). Warning- I have ADHD and I really love my dogs, so please allow time to chat!
