Dad is a Leonberger weighing 125lbs, and mom is a mountain shepherd (Caucasian shepherd )/Leonberger mix weighing just over 100lbs. Leonbergers are known as the gentle giant. Easy going, non drooling, family friendly dogs that love the snow, water, and mud as much as they love to lie on the couch. They were originally bred in the 1930s to be a companion breed and town mascot. Mountain shepherds are a guardian breed. These dogs were bred to guard livestock and protect families. They are loyal, strong, and watchful. If you are looking for an inside or outside dog, or a bit of both, I think these pups will live up to your expectations.
