Mia and Thunder are Expecting! Pups currently pictured are from a previous litter, to show what you can expect from these two amazing dogs. We are long time breeders of both Tibetan Mastiffs and Great Pyrenees, and found that the mix of these two breeds provides a devoted dog that wanders less and barks less than pure Great Pyrenees. They also have never been destructive, which is sometimes a trait in some Tibetan Mastiffs. Neither Mia or her mother Muna have any destructive tendencies either. It is very rare to find any derivative of Tibetan Mastiffs in Canada, and if you do, they are often $5000 dogs at a minimum.
Mia is 50% Tibetan Mastiff, 50% Great Pyrenees. Mia's mother, Muna, was a Purebred Tibetan Mastiff, imported from Poland. She was a $10,000 dog, and has created an incredible lineage of puppies. Mia is a gentle sole, incredible mother, and is very protective when she needs to be. She likes to be the 'mom' of all the different types of babies on the farm, and takes care of everyone. She only barks when she senses an issue with the animals, or finds a need to protect. She is also an amazing family dog and is happy being inside or out, depending on the circumstances.
Thunder is a pure Great Pyrenees, and has stunning conformation. He breeds those amazing classic Great Pyrenees heads into our puppies. Thunder also has an incredible temperament, is a fantastic family dog, and a devoted protector. He is exceptional in that all the baby goats and sheep can climb all over him, and he handles all of them, but still stays in work mode protecting the farm. He is the gentle giant mentality, until there is a reason for him to go into protection mode.
Together, these two make incredible puppies. The pups in these pictures are from Mia and Thunders last litter, and give you an idea of what to expect. Mia tends to have an equal number of males and females in a variety of colors from black (her mothers genes), to golden, to white, and brindled. The pups are due Dec 26th, and then are ready to go to their homes at 8 weeks of age. They will come dewormed 3 times, vaccinated, and vet checked, along with a puppy package of food, toys, and a blanket that smells like their mom to make their transition easier. These pups are usually incredibly easy to house train, and are very smart. Their livestock guardian skills are innate, and do not need to be trained to protect animals.
We take $300 deposits to hold the gender of your choice until the puppies are born. Order of puppy selection occurs in the order of the deposits received. You will know your order of choice when you place your deposit. First deposit on a male gets first choice of male puppies, etc.
Our service goes long beyond the puppy stage, as we are very experienced with these breeds and are happy to offer guidance and answer any questions along the way, whether it is now or years down the road.
Don't hesitate to book your puppy, as they are usually reserved quite quickly.
