This skillfully refinished vintage hardwood dresser highlights impressive mid century detailing in the uniqueness of the curved drawers on the top two rows and the bottom 3 drawers feature a layering effect. All cabinet pulls are original and have been cleaned and revitalized in vintage gold paint. Solid construction (135 lbs) is evident in the dovetail joinery on all 5 drawers. Two different oil based wood stains were used to achieve the two-tone look. Brand new 4 inch angled hardwood furniture legs have been installed. This MC dresser is extremely clean (from a smoke free home) including the back panel which was removed during the new drawer slide installation, then primed/painted in a neutral taupe colour, then reattached.
Please note the added value of the newly installed (from Lee Valley) center mount ball bearing drawer slides which eliminate wood on wood when opening/closing the drawers. This completes the refinishing process by not only restoring it aesthetically, but makes the dresser truly functional.
