✨ Vintage Restored MCM Wood Dresser

Beautifully restored vintage Mid-Century Modern dresser, showcasing gorgeous natural wood grain, clean architectural lines and classic tapered legs. Rather than covering this beauty with paint, the original wood was carefully refreshed and preserved to showcase its natural character. One of the most distinctive features of this piece is the variation in tone and grain across the drawer fronts. Different veneer selections and grain patterns used in the dresser’s original construction naturally create variations in colour—from deeper, richer tones to warmer, more figured grain. This variation is characteristic of the natural wood and original vintage construction, rather than an inconsistency in the finish. I chose to preserve it rather than use a heavy stain to make the wood artificially uniform, allowing the beautiful grain and character of each drawer front to remain visible. One of my favourite details is the original vintage brass-toned hardware. The geometric design and aged patina are such a great representation of the era and were intentionally preserved rather than replaced. The drawers have also been finished with elegant floral liners, adding a beautiful surprise when opened.
