Looking for a reliable Driver and Mover to join our company

We are seeking an energetic and reliable Driver and Mover to assist with seniors' moving and downsizing. This is a part-time position with a guaranteed minimum of 15 hours per week. Must have: • A valid Class 5 driver's licence (clean record) and access to a vehicle to drive to and from work. • Able to drive a 16-foot cube truck. • Experience with a moving company preferred. Responsibilities: • Driving the 16-foot cube truck. • Be physically fit and able to lift furniture and boxes and load/unload on/off the truck. • Packing, unpacking, and organizing household items. • Manage inventory of bins, boxes and supplies. • Maintain a professional and respectful demeanour when interacting with clients, ensuring their privacy and dignity are upheld. • Adapt to varying duties based on the specific needs of each client. • Exercise sound judgment to identify and prioritize tasks on the job site. • Complete daily timecards and required paperwork promptly and accurately. • Collaborate effectively with team members to ensure smooth and efficient service delivery. • Carefully handle valuable and fragile items, paying close attention to avoid damage. Employees may be held accountable for any item loss, damage, or mishandling. • Willingness to learn – packing fragile items, picture hanging, computer/printer set-up, etc. Hours of Work and Flexibility: • Schedule varies based on project needs; typically, between 15 to 30 hours per week. Other • Our wage is between $25 to $35 per hour, based on experience. • We will require a Police Clearance check upon hiring and a copy of the driver’s license. • We will require a driver’s abstract.
