Merit Service Truck Operator

Rate $34.00 - $42.00 Merit Concrete Lifters, established in 2008. We specialize in lifting and repairing concrete Driveways and sidewalks. We are expanding our team for the upcoming season. (Seasonal Position, May -Nov) In this role the candidate will be an integral part of the Merit team. We are seeking a Team Leader for our service truck. If you have had any experience with concrete, construction, or landscape grading; combined with the requirements below you would be an ideal candidate. Class 1 or Class 3 (with air brakes) JOB DUTIES Professional driver and Team leader. Operating truck systems and Supervising scope of jobs. Supporting and mentoring truck staff (1 labourer and 1 swamper). Work with management to obtain best possible outcome for clients. Working Conditions: • Physically fit, as this is a production environment and there will be some lifting. • Available to work long hours which include working Monday through Friday. Paid Overtime • Work outdoors in all conditions and temperatures. (0- +30) • Comfortable operating in proximity to small engines, hydraulics, etc. Requirements and experience • Must Team Player and physically fit • Strong organizational skills, Attention to detail • Willing to learn all concrete grout pumping functions • Effective verbal communication skills • Dependable and Punctual • CSA approved footwear • Class 1 or 3 drivers’ (with air brakes) license with a acceptable personal drivers abstract • Minimum 1 year experience working with various High Pressure, hydraulics Equipment and Tools • Must have own reliable transportation to and from the workplace (just off Parsons Road) • Has clear understanding of small engines, hydraulics and various high pressure equipment • Ability to work with minimal supervision in a team and safety focused environment • Eagar to learn new skills where required • Willingness to take direction and work effectively in production environment • Ability to multitask and adapt to new working environments Apply by sending your resume to kbarrie@meritconcrete.ca
