Class 1 Owner Operator - Winter Roads

Deton Cho Landtran Transport is Canadas leading Northern transportation company based out of Yellowknife, NT, we haul in extreme conditions!

Now seeking seasonal Owner Operators / Lease Operators for our winter hauling season. During the winter season, our highly-specialized and experienced team of drivers and management successfully transport all types of freight to the diamond mines via the Winter Ice Roads.

We currently have opportunities for Class 1 Owner Operators / Lease Operators with Flat Deck, Super B, and Dry Van hauling experience to join our seasonal Winter Road transportation project based out of Yellowknife, NT. Owner Operators / Lease Operators who sign on will be hauling various loads from February 1, 2022 - end of March 2022 (Approximately Weather Permitting) across the Winter Ice Roads in the Northwest Territories.

Requirements:

- Class 1 or AZ driver's license

- Must own/lease unit (Unit must be in good working order)

- 2 years Class 1 driving experience

- Super B deck experience

- Flat Deck experience

- Dry Van experience an asset

- Owner Operators / Lease Operators are responsible for getting their unit to Acheson, AB as per dispatch. (Loads up to Yellowknife will be arranged when possible)

- Owner Operators / Lease Operators must be willing to live out of truck for the duration of the Seasonal Winter Roads project

- Current commercial driver's abstract

- Criminal Record Check

- Need to pass Drug and Alcohol Testing

"NO NEW GRADUATES" We are looking for experienced truck drivers only.

Drivers looking to join our team should have the following core competencies:

Responsibilities:

- Operate company vehicle in a safe manner following all company rules and regulations

- Receive load information from dispatch, via onboard satellite system

- Ensure proper load securement

- Tarping mandatory on a good percentage of loads

- Deliver loads to customers in a timely manner

- Some customized work opportunities based on drivers preference
