Tama Sound Lab Project Classic Drum Aluminum model snare drum. Tama's modern take on the classic Ludwig Acrolite snare. Great drum to have in any drummers arsenal as it is lightweight, has a wide tuning range, dry tone that responds well to different types of muffling and isn't overly loud. These factors make it a perfect choice for gigging and recording. This one has been upgraded with pro Remo heads, a new Controlled Sound coated batter and Ambassador snare side. This drum features a seamless 1.2 mm Aluminum shell with a center bead. The 8-lug Steel Mighty Hoops make for a crisp sound with short sustain. The vintage look and sound are reminiscent of the early years of popular aluminum snare drums.
