Truth Custom Drums & Protection Racket Cases A very beautiful, gently and lovingly used (in studio) “one up, two down” Truth Custom Drumset. Specs: half birch, half mahogany with a champagne sparkle pinstripe. 13” 16” 18” 24”. “Virgin” bass drum. With floor tom legs (snare stand not included for rack) and brand new Protection Racket cases (13, 16, 18, 24). No parting out pieces/cases. Please don’t ask. :) Paid $6000+ for drumset and $1000 for set of cases. Price is $2800 complete (drumset and cases). Because of cost and weights involved, shipping is not possible. Local pickup in Toronto only. NOTE: Birch and Mahogany compliment each other. Birch has a brighter sound with more focused attack, but it's biggest downside is the lack of warmth. Mahogany's biggest strength is warmth and Mahogany just compliments the wave form of Birch. Drum companies seem to offer Birch/Mahogany more often than Birch/Maple, so that could also be an indicator of what most people prefer. In this case Truth Custom Drums take a birch and a mahogany Keller shell and literally marry the two together in what they call a 'plybred' format.
