Ahead Drum Dial Drum Tuner

The Drum Dial allows you to tune a drum silently, without even hitting the head, and it's very accurate. Place the Drum Dial around the head to measure the pressure, then turn the tension rods accordingly to make the tension even around the entire head. You can watch videos on You Tube to see how it's done. You may fine tune the tuning to taste once you hit and hear it, but the Drum Dial gets you "there", very close and very consistent. This makes it easy to change a head silently at a gig. It also speeds up the time it takes to tune a drum or an entire kit. Another big advantage in using a Drum Dial is that, once you have your drum sounding as you like, you can write down the pressure numbers for each head, both top and bottom. When you change a head, tune it back up to that pressure to restore the sound you liked (if you use the same brand/model of head). This is especially useful in a recording studio --- the longer you play, the more likely your drums will start to loosen or detune, and the Drum Dial can quickly get them back to where they were.
