I have two if these in stock, both used and functional. One has tape holding the display together and is missing the handle with which it is tilted on its wheels and moved from location to location. There is also some tape covering the pedal adjustment area which I think was meant to stop patients from changing settings. I will attempt to rectify these deficiencies, but before I make the effort, I am open to offers on this unit.
These ergometers normally are used as arm bikes, but can be used with an adaptor or from a prone position as a leg bike. I am not sure what the difference between the 881 and the 881E trainers is. Both measure RPM, Revolutions per Session and Elapsed Time. Both seem to have similar displays and to have identical housings and adjusters. The 881E display is somewhat larger and may be able to monitor performance a little more closely and provide additional, very basic programming. Please take a look at the 881E manual available from the manufacturer at no charge online to see if you can figure it out.

The Monark Rehab Trainer model 881 is an arm and leg ergometer provided with a brake belt. The power can be read in watts at 50 pedal rpm. The Rehab Trainer is also equipped with an electronic meter that shows pedal revolutions per minute (RPM), total pedal revolutions (TOTAL COUNT) and time
(TIME) function. Through cycling the test person supplies the flywheel with a certain kinetic energy. This is braked by means of a brake belt which runs around the bigger part of the brake surface of the flywheel. The workload is changed either by using another pedaling speed or by increasing or decreasing the tension of the brake belt against the flywheel by means of the work load control knob.
The unit being purchased will work, but it will have to be calibrated and tuned up if it is expected to perform at its factory specs. The braking belt is intact and there is not a particularly abnormal amount of pedal play / slack.
