    This remarkable piece was made in England in 1880 and brought to Halifax by a sea captain where it was installed in his home. It is a beautiful functioning fireplace that comes with a grate and a surround, all made of brass. The same fireplace sold at auction in England by LoveDay Antiques for 15,000 pounds or 25,000 Canadian.
