Our 4 Pillars of Fitness and continuous learning process is specifically designed to meet the fitness needs of older adults. Fitness with a Purpose stresses aerobics, strength, agility/balance, and flexibility; along with stress management, and age-appropriate practical self-defense. It's empowering...it's enjoyable...and you progress at your own pace in a very supportive environment. There is no pressure to advance; only encouragement to improve.
Classes are taught by qualified, age appropriate instructors. Most are taught by FWP owner / head instructor Lloyd Fridenburg.
This is a fitness first program with students ranging in age from 40 to over 70.Classes are currently held Tuesday, Thursday, and Sunday from 12:00 noon till 1:00 at the Waterloo Kung Fu Academy, 3-620 Davenport Road (near Conestoga Mall), Waterloo ON. And Tuesday and Friday evening from 7:00 till 8:00 at Kitchener Kicks, 50 Ottawa St. S, Unit 111 (corner of Ottawa & Charles) in Kitchener.You're welcome to drop by and watch a class, or you can visit www.waterloofit.com for more information and to download a trial class questionnaire that entitles you to attend two free classes with absolutely no charge or obligation.
