Organically grown shallot sets for planting. I am constantly amazed by these shallots. They are very easy to grow and extremely hardy - I can leave them in the ground over winter on our Zone 3 farm with no mulch and they will pop right up again in the Spring - although I would recommend mulch to be safe! Given time, they grow extremely large to the size of a regular onion and store all winter long. We still have some in our cold storage from 12 months ago! Not to mention, they taste divine! One bulb will yield a cluster of shallots.
$10 for a cluster of sprouting shallots (around 20 per cluster). Pick up in Ta Ta Creek or can meet in Kimberley/ Cranbrook.
