Comfrey
Perennial plant about 3+ feet tall and about 2 feet wide at the base.
Excellent biomass for mineralization and nutrients for the garden in the chop and drop method as well as the compost method.
The roots go deep into the ground and pull up the goodies for other garden plants.
It is good to keep separate if using rototilling in the garden.
Spreads by seed and by root pieces. (The plants I provide spread only by root propagation.)
Attracts bees with its white and pale violet flowers.
Dye colours range from pale yellow, greys, and khaki green.

First photo Comfrey blooming in early June. Take down this growth for biomass for feeding or compost. Regrowth will produce again flowers for the bees.
