Best sown in autumn directly onto the soil and covered with a thin layer of soil or compost. Needs to be planted just before the frost or needs a long period of cold for stratification, so its seed dormancy can be overcome.
Plant have spreading underground rhizomes.
Grows to a height of 12-18 inches, spread up to 18 inches.
