Beautiful landscape tree.
White Spruce are excellent for use as windbreaks and privacy screens due to their generally thick growth combined with fast growth, an uncommon characteristic among evergreen trees. White Spruce have impressive and aggressive root systems which adapt very well to a variety of soils and conditions.
White Spruce feature short, bluish-green needles and a nice overall appearance, great for ornamental uses. This evergreen species features a conical shape which spreads fairly wide at the base if planted in the open.
White Spruce characteristics:
• prefers full sun and tolerates partial shade
• mature height and spread: up to 100 ft high, 20-25 ft spread
• does well in a wide range of soils
I have quite a few seedlings available at all different sizes:
$3.00/seedling from 3 inches to 12 inches
$5.00/seedling from 13 inches to 24 inches
The last picture is only to show a mature tree. I don't have any available at that size.
Please note that the smaller the seedling the more successful transplant. All transplanted seedlings will acquire transplant shock which will stun their growth for one full year. The following year will show new growth if successful.
