In terms of data security, Eco-Tech strongly advises that all users take the necessary precautions to ensure that all personal and sensitive information is thoroughly eliminated from storage devices prior to their submission for recycling. For instance, smartphones, including popular models such as iPhones and Android devices, can be efficiently and securely wiped clean by simply performing a Factory Reset operation. For those looking to recycle computer hard drives, Eco-Tech recommends utilizing built-in tools available within Microsoft Windows operating systems, such as the System Reset feature, or leveraging the default settings provided by Ubuntu Linux to securely erase data. This fee helps cover the additional labor required, as property management does not provide snow and ice removal at our front and rear entrances during our Saturday operating hours. Our staff must manually shovel snow at our front entrance, and mop the foyers to maintain a clean, safe, and slip-free facility. ​ Important: All E-waste deliveries must be made at the front entrance. Customers attempting to avoid this fee by going to the the rear of the facility will be called out and asked to come to the front instead, as all entrances are monitored via surveillance cameras.
