Job Description:Job Description Kangaroo Contracting Inc. is a Decking and Fence Installation and Landscape Maintenance company located in Nanaimo, BC. We are looking to hire additional landscape maintenance labourers to our team! Job Requirements:A VALID Class 5 Driver’s licenseA RELIABLE vehicle to get to and from office/yard to pick up work truck and trailerA working cell phone with a plan (we need to be able to get a hold of you during a shift)Clean criminal record checkMust be prepared to work outside in any and all-weather conditions and wear appropriate work clothing including steel toe boots and Safety vestMust be able to lift, carry, and push equipment and materials like lawn clippingsMust be sober and smoke free while on shift (includes the use of marijuana and vaping of any kind)Must be familiar with and can operate small machines such as a gas lawn mower, weed whacker, leaf blower etc.Must be able to follow basic instruction, complete a daily list of work tasks in a timely mannerMust have an attention to detail, be willing to learn, and take pride in their workMust be a team player and be trusted to work semi-independently Job Description: Assisting our lead hand with the following daily tasks: Lawn Mowing, Edging, Weed Whacking, Top Dressing, Garden Bed Cleaning and Maintenance, Pruning, Fertilizing, Weeding, Hauling and Bagging Yard Waste, and Irrigation Work. *Please provide reliable references with resume (they will be contacted) Job Type: Full-Time Salary: $18.00-$22.00/hr (depending on experience, work ethic, and productivity) Schedule:8 hour shift 8:00am-4:30pmMonday to Friday Work Location: We service a range of commercial and residential locations in Nanaimo, BC.
