1959 Harmony Stratotone Mars H-46. This is a lovely little vintage guitar to add to the collection without having to stare down the barrel of a huge vintage price tag. It’s been well played over the years but in good shape. Made in Chicago with laminated maple body and maple neck, it offers unique tonal qualities rising from its lacquer finished thin hollow body and two DeArmond pickups. Brian Jones frequently played the same model on all of the early Stones records and at gigs. It’s a great little piece of guitar history for the collector, and an excellent addition to any studio setup looking for some new(old) tonal possibilities. It could even be the go to for a garage band front man!
To my knowledge the guitar is essentially all original except for the switch tip and added strap button that were installed somewhere along the way. It comes with its original hardboard case.
The market value of these vintage rarities is all over the board, so if you’re interested shoot me a fair and reasonable offer. I’ll entertain guitar related trades or cash offers. If it piques my interest we can work on negotiating a deal from there. In person transactions only. I’m happy to answer any questions you may have. Thanks for looking.
